TERIYAKI CHICKEN BOWLS

INGREDIENTS:

1 bag of Trader Joe’s BBQ Teriyaki Chicken

EVOO

2 Cups of baby spinach

Steamed white rice

Sliced Carrots

Salt, pepper, garlic powder and red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large skillet drizzle about two tbsp EVOO. Pour the chicken minus the sauce. Cook until well re-heated.

  2. Add the teriyaki sauce at this point. Stir well and cook until well combined and sauce has fully dissolved.

  3. Add spinach and stir well until the spinach is soft and fully cooked.

  4. Set aside and start working on the carrots by heating up two tbsp EVOO. Add the sliced carrots, salt, pepper, garlic powder and red pepper flakes. Cook until soft and caramelized.

  5. Assemble the bowl by adding a bed of steamed rice to your bowl. Add the chicken to half of the bowl and the carrots to the other half. Serve with your favorite spicy chili sauce. ENJOY! A simple meal that is sure to satisfy everyone.
