SNOWMAN COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup butter, softened

1/2 Cup sugar

1 Tsp warm water

1 Tsp organic pure vanilla

2 1/2 Cups flour

2 Tbsp half and half

Red and green food coloring

Orange and black jimmies sprinkles

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in water and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour and mix well. Add the half and half to reach the right dough consistency. It needs to be soft but firm. Add more half and half if needed. Place 1/3 cup each in two bowls. Add green and red coloring to each respective bowls and set aside (I like to throw each small batch of dough back into the mixer for an even distribution of the coloring).

Shape remaining dough into 1 inch balls for the body and 1/2 inch balls for each of the snowmen heads.

Arrange each body and head on a parchment lined baking sheet and gently press them. Shape the colored dough into the hats and give them a gentle press as well.

For the scarf, roll a small half inch ball for each color between both of your hands until it becomes the shape of a thick noodle. Carefully twist both ropes around each other and add them to each snowman. I like to tuck them on both ends.

Insert two black jammies onto each cookie for the eyes; and an orange one for the nose.

Bake at 350ºF for 16 minutes or until set. Cool on baking sheet before attempting to grab one cookie. ENJOY!!
